ABOUT JOSIE
Born and raised in Louisiana, Josie grew up with rodeo in her blood. Her dad was a Professional Calf Roper,
and she was raised on a farm where being on horseback was a way of life. She competed in multiple events early
on, but found her true calling in Breakaway Roping — long before the discipline had its own spotlight on the
national stage.
“I have literally grown up with the sport,” Josie shares. “I was too young to compete at the first NFR, so it’s
really cool that I got to progress as the sport grew.”
Josie earned Reserve Champion at the National High School Rodeo Finals during her sophomore year and was named 2022
WPRA Breakaway Roping Resistol Rookie of the Year. By 2025, she became the Breakaway Roping Champion at The American
Rodeo, solidifying her position as one of the sport’s top competitors.
