PROFESSIONAL BARREL RACER

Raised on a cattle ranch in Colorado, Briggs spent most of her childhood on the road with her parents, which is where she found her passion for horses and competition. Her mother, Kristie Peterson, a ProRodeo Hall of Fame inductee, inspired Briggs to continue on a similar path. You could say the rodeo is in her genes, as she grew up rodeoing and ranching, and while not on the road her daily routine was all about caring for the horses on the family ranch. Humility and family remain central to her focus as a competitive barrel racer. Having been raised on the rodeo circuit with her close-knit family, Briggs continues this tradition with daughter Bexley and husband Justin accompanying her on the road for many competitions.
