ABOUT PAUL

Professional Team Roper Paul Eaves didn’t grow up in a rodeo family. But he and his sisters fell in love with horses at a young age and that motivated him to try local shows. At the age of twelve he saw his first Team Roping event at a local arena and decided to give it a whirl with his dad. His dad was heading, and Paul was heeling. His love for the arena grew from there and he started to focus and put more time into roping. He progressed fast and ended up moving to Texas at seventeen and moved in with a four-time champion roper. There was a big learning curve competing with the best. Paul got knocked down a lot and fought his way through it with hard work. He made the finals for the first time at the age of 22 and shares, “The better you get, the tougher it gets.” You have to put in hard work, dedication and the time to grow and succeed.
