We get it — buying boots without trying them on first can feel risky. That’s why we offer free returns on all contiguous U.S. orders. Just a heads up: original shipping fees aren’t refundable.
Rocky Brands, Inc. offers a 1-year limited warranty to the original end-user purchaser for all Durango® Boots products (“Product(s)”) under normal use. This warranty covers manufacturing defects, including flaws in materials or workmanship.
Waterproof Guarantee: All boots with Durango® waterproof construction are guaranteed to remain waterproof for 6 months from the date of purchase.
Warranty Period: The warranty begins on the date of purchase. For California purchasers, it starts on the date of purchase or delivery—whichever is later.
What's Covered? In the event of a defect, Rocky Brands, Inc. will replace the Product. If the exact Product is no longer available, Durango® will issue a replacement of equivalent value at its discretion.
Authorized Sellers Only: This warranty is valid only for Products purchased from Rocky Brands, Inc. or an authorized Durango® seller in the United States, unless prohibited by law. Claims for Products bought from unauthorized sellers—including unauthorized websites—may be denied.

- Normal wear and tear
- Neglect, misuse, or abuse
- Damage from holes, cuts, burns, or punctures
- Improper storage or maintenance
- Unapproved alterations or repairs
- Accidents or hazards (e.g., fire, flooding)
- Use of non-recommended substances like polishes or oils
- Improper fit
Filing a Warranty Claim: Start by returning the Product to the authorized seller where it was purchased. If the Product was bought directly from Rocky Brands, Inc. —or you can't resolve your claim with the original seller—please contact us for a return authorization number. Proof of purchase is required.

No, returns without a Return Authorization Number will not be accepted.
For security reasons, any return sent without a valid Return Authorization Number will be refused and sent back to the sender.
To request a Return Authorization Number, your product must be within the warranty period and you must provide proof of purchase.

Please note: When you pay with a debit card, the purchase amount will be placed on hold immediately—making those funds temporarily unavailable. Once the transaction is fully processed, the funds will be withdrawn from your account, and the hold will be released.

Durango waterproof constructions are guaranteed for 6 months.
After the guaranteed period, we recommend applying a waterproofing spray every 6 months to help maintain water resistance.
No, Rocky Brands, Inc. does not offer resoling or repair services.
If your boots are still within our 1-year warranty for manufacturing or material defects, please refer to our Returns/Warranty section for assistance.
Keep your boots looking and performing their best by cleaning regularly, using appropriate leather conditioners, and storing them in a cool, dry place. Avoid harsh chemicals and excessive water exposure to extend their life.
Western boots should feel tighter than tennis shoes across the front of your boot. Typically a new pair of western boots will need "broken into" as the boot gains flexibility and adapts to the owner's foot over time. For more information please watch this short video
