ABOUT ERICH

Ever since Erich was a Native American kid growing up on the Reservation, he wanted to become a rodeo cowboy and a Team Roper. Shared Erich, “It was just born in me.” When he was twelve, he won his first saddle and was completely hooked, and continued to focus on the rodeo through the junior rodeo, to the high school rodeo and up through the ranks of the Indian Rodeo - where he placed with two gold buckles in team roping and two gold buckles in all around. Today, Erich has two daughters and a wife, and has been professionally Team Roping for over fourteen years. He continues to be active on the Reservation where he teaches dummy roping to kids and inspires them to explore their dreams.
