About Riley

At only a few weeks old, Riley attended his first rodeo — and he's been chasing calves and championships ever since. Raised in a rodeo family, Riley’s dad ran a big arena in their hometown where Riley learned to ride and developed his passion for the sport.

By age twelve, he was competing in junior roping events, and by fifteen, he made it to The American Rodeo. He considers the Western industry and the arena his true community — a place where he thrives.

Riley wore his first pair of Durango® boots as a high school freshman and went on a winning streak he never looked back from. He still calls them his “lucky boots” and wears them for every training and competition.

In 2022, Riley was named Resistol Rookie of the Year in Tie-Down Roping — a sign of what was to come. In just four years, he cemented his place in ProRodeo history by becoming a 2X World Champion Tie-Down Roper and the youngest athlete ever to surpass $1 million in career earnings.
