About Zeke

Alberta native Zeke Thurston was born into rodeo—his father, Skeeter, qualified for the Canadian Finals Rodeo five times and attended the NFR six times. As a kid, Zeke and his brothers formed the “Thurston Gang,” mastering roping, horseback acrobatics, and stunts. He began competing professionally at a young age, winning Steer Riding at the Canadian Finals Rodeo at just 14. After competing for Sheridan College in Wyoming, Zeke made a name for himself at the most prestigious rodeos, winning four PRCA World Championship Saddle Bronc titles. Today, he lives in Big Valley, Alberta, with his wife Jane and three children. When he’s not in the arena, Zeke enjoys ranching, roping, hunting, fishing, and playing amateur hockey.
